As the holders of the Kent sevens Championship, sponsored by Shepherd Neame, Wells travelled to Canterbury on Sunday with a much changed squad which included only 2 players from last years successful group. However, this squad was brimming with youthful talent from the Club Seniors and from the Judd School and Tonbridge School Sevens teams.

After a few years of near misses at the Prelims of the Kent Festival of Youth, Tunbridge Wells Under 15s have booked their place in the Kent Plate final at Aylesford Bulls RFC on Sunday 5th April.
Last Sunday (15th March) the invigorated team, under the strengthened coaching squad of the Kench brothers and Stuart Montgomery, got off to a cracking start with a try within 14 seconds of the start! In a 16 min qualifying game the Wells Under 15s had got 42 points passed Gravesend. The next match was a tougher clash against Old Elthamians, but the lads score three times to make it 61 points in two 16 minute games (19 - 0). Old Colfeins had a run away number 10 from the County Team and Wells went down 0 - 14. So into the plate quarters. A very tight game against a strong Maidstone team was secured 7 - 5.
The semi final, against Bromley, was a real test of nerves as T Wells were down 0 - 7 with little time left. In the closing stages at 5 - 7 to Bromley, it looked like we were out, but thanks to a last minute try and some great courage and determination Tunbridge Wells snatched victory 12 - 7.
Well done lads.
Howard Collins Youth Chairman

ADVANCE WARNING - PARKING!!!
Over the next few weekends the local police will be operating in the area to help prevent illegal parking on yellow lines, pavements, junctions and access driveways. This a positive initiative by the local ward PCSO to try and reduce complaints from local residents and also complaints from our visitors when they get ticketed by the very active traffic wardens.
Police cones will be placed in the area Saturday morning to remind everyone of where not to park. We have been told that traffic wardens may be about if people still ignore the road markings or cones.
There is plenty of safe and legal parking along Forest Road just a short walk from the club.
In our own car park please ensure that you don't block other people in and that the ambulance access is clear (New signs are on there way but the gate is in the corner by the telephone mast).
Thank you for your co-operation in advance and please ensure you pass this on to club members and visitors.
Howard Collins
Youth Chairman
